2013 College Scholarship Recipients!

IIABC is pleased to announce the 2013 College Scholarship Recipients:

$1,000 Scholarship awarded to Michelle Gorodetsky (L&S Insurance). Michelle attended Cooper City High School, and will be studying Risk Management  at Florida State University.

$600 Scholarship awarded to Alexandra Vollman (Gateway Insurance Agency). Alexandra attended Cardinal Gibbons High School, and will be attending University of Florida.

BROWARD COUNTY SENIORS AWARDED InVEST COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

IIABC’s InVEST Program awarded $500 College Scholarships to Deerfield Beach High School Graduates Johanna Wilson and Alante Ford. Forty students completed the high school course which covered twenty classroom hours including field trips to an insurance agency and an insurance company. The 2012 Broward County InVEST Program was sponsored by Florida Peninsula Insurance Company, People’s Trust Insurance Company, Federated National Insurance Company and MacNeill Group, Inc.

The InVEST Program was founded in 1970 by the Independent Insurance Agents of Los Angeles for the purpose of educating students in insurance to become better insurance consumers. Over the years, it has expanded to also teach insurance agency and company operations and encourage students to pursue careers in the industry. InVEST is now active in over 200 high schools and community colleges across the country.

BROWARD COUNTY SENIORS AWARDED COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

IIABC announces recipients of the 2012 College Scholarship Program. Scholarships were awarded to Fiorella Vargas, graduate of Cypress Bay High School and Blaise Huntley, graduate of Coral Springs High School. IIABC is pleased to recognize their list of accomplishments and academic records.

The IIABC College Scholarship is an annual program designed to promote goodwill within the IIABC by providing a monetary scholarship to college-bound high school seniors who have demonstrated a high standard of conduct, both academically and through extracurricular activities. Application for the 2013 Scholarship will be posted in April, 2013.
